ThinK Wine Strategy Roadmap
How ThinK Wine Group's Strategy Roadmap Catalysed Growth and Secured Investor Confidence
Project Background:
ThinK Wine Group, led by CEO Katherine Jones, sought to develop a year-long strategic planning and roadmap for presentation to their new investor.
ThinK Wine Group, a UK-based, multiple award-winning company, specializes in producing low-sugar, low-calorie sparkling wines that maintain quality and taste.
The Challenge:
Katherine had a tight 20-day deadline to create a comprehensive strategic plan despite having numerous ideas and plans but lacking the time and structure to bring them together.
The main challenge was to condense Katherine's vision into a clear, structured plan with specific objectives, key results, market research, and financial propositions.
I guess everything just came from my mind, everything just lives in a big messy place in my brain and ideas are coming and going. I have plans for all types of things and often I will write them down on papers so that I don't forget, but it's a big messy piece of paper thrown on my desk full of all types of notes. I just felt like I was quite unorganised in my brain, so when we discussed what you did in terms of strategic planning I was like: that's exactly what I do anyway in my head but I cannot visualise it or put pen to paper in any kind of professional way and that's I guess what led me to want to work with you to be able to do that. So, prior to working with you I just had everything messy going on in my head and then afterwards it felt like my brain had a nice clear out and everything was very visual for me to just action as and when it needed to be actioned. Solution:
ThinK Wine Group engaged in a Strategy Roadmap Sprint facilitated by Julia Carolina, aimed at creating a strategic plan within 10 days.
The sprint produced a complete strategic plan including clear objectives, key results, projects, market research, a roadmap with detailed milestones and steps, a well-designed presentation, budget breakdown, and financial propositions.
Impactful Insights:
The sprint provided Katherine with clarity and structure, allowing her to visualize her plans and understand the steps needed to achieve her goals.
Facilitating a fun and relaxed yet enlightening experience, providing valuable insights and ideas for ThinK Wine Group's future.
Efficient Execution:
Despite the tight deadline, the sprint delivered a comprehensive strategic plan, enabling ThinK Wine Group to present a clear vision to their new investor.
I feel like whenever I've worked with you've been completely and utterly professional and you just want to get the job done to the best of your ability regardless of the time it takes. You're going above and beyond what was originally discussed. You will do that because you're such a professional and you care so much about your reputation and your Brand and I think that there need to be more people like that in the world. (Ketherine)
Client Confidence:
Katherine praised the process for providing clarity and structure, acknowledging her own limitations in technology and organization.
Collaborating with MFS allowed Katherine to focus on her strengths as a driven and action-oriented business owner while leveraging a clear, agile and engaging strategic planning process.
Future Direction:
Armed with a clear strategic plan, ThinK Wine Group is well-positioned to pursue its growth and expansion goals, leveraging its unique product offerings and future initiatives.
Katherine was able to unlock additional funding from their new investor based on the comprehensive strategic plan presented as a result of the Strategy Roadmap service.
You just made it so simple that even I could do it. So I think it was easier than I expected in terms of the technological side of things. Also the fact that we could just flash it out in one day there and then. It wasn't like “should we do half an hour here or should we do an hour there” It was like head down for five hours, job done and then it's out of your mind and you're not worrying. I have just been achieving everything as part of the timeline so far. So that's been a big thing. Also, the person I was going to for funding was able to visualise what was to come, what was in the plans, how the return on investment was going to be made. So it helped us to get additional funding as well from having this plan all laid out. (Katherine)
